![]() ![]() It reminded me of ‘What Does Music Mean’ by Leonard Bernstein. I want to stay on the first part firstly. ![]() “Art should not be explained: it must be experienced.” it’s one of the first sentences that took my attention followed by “but by all means of words it is possible to help others to experience it and that is what I shall attempt to do here” I overall really had fun while reading it. I’m going to be mentioning a lot of his writing because there are a lot of parts which i loved and enjoyed reading. He starts the writing with some sentences that i really liked. ![]() We were assigned with the first chapter and it is about design. “…so lucid and clear that every layman and beginner will be able to understand and to enjoy it.”-Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism “A book of great charm and broad understanding.”-Architectural Forum He was also the Professor of Architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and lectured widely at universities in Europe and the United States.He wrote experiencing architecture when he was 64 years old and he got good critics about the book around that time, for example: Steen Eiler Rasmussen was a Danish architect and urban planner. ![]()
